Love for Uganda Abounds

Desiree Jones • November 25, 2020

When the motives are pure, the possibilities are endless. We have been unbelievably blessed by dedicated individuals in our Uganda ministry for Fountain of Hope School. They have offered to match up to $3,000 for the purchase of needed rainwater collection systems. This is a vital and precious need that supports our ministry and we are fervent about the possibilities.  Our goal is to raise at least $6,000 to help sustain the school’s water needs that have exceeded the water well capacity.  Water collection systems help provide cleaning, cooking, and toiletry water while the well provides the drinking water. As of today, we have raised________________ for this cause.

Endless Gratitude for Amazing Support

Our well-regarded partners and many others who have connected with us as a ministry have offered so much amazing support. We could not do this without you and are forever grateful for our beloved family and friends. The child sponsorship program in Uganda continues to provide the needed financial support to children who would struggle to attend school.  At the end of 2019, our end of the year Student Dedication for those passing on to higher levels was held with the theme of “Preparation is Key.”

Shepherding the Flock of Believers

We were also fortunate to ordain 50 Pastors and Deacons with the authority to lead others in various church duties and help shepherd the flock of believers.  It is so important for our ministry to continue to train and educate church leaders on Biblical principles to maintain a strong and healthy community and outreach.

Reaching Youth and Blessing Mankind

We also recently held a highly successful Youth Conference with over 700 young people gathering at the Bukeeka Church.  It is truly a blessing to be able to minister to so many young Christians and those looking for Christ.  Clearly our ministry is making an impact.

Lastly, our school construction project continues as we build boarding houses and school classrooms.  Construction projects are difficult for us to finance ourselves, so we are deeply grateful for the support provided through GGI and their partners.

A Christmas Celebration in Haiti and Uganda

We celebrate the true meaning of Christmas and the birth of Christ in special ways in both Haiti and Uganda. Our Christmas program in Haiti is a special day for the children and their families. The children prepare for weeks to perform songs and skits, and the parents have the opportunity to hear the story of our Savior’s birth.  They sit back as proud parents watching their children! Each child receives a special Christmas gift – for many of them it is their only gift.

Christmas in Uganda is about Jesus and His birth and for many it’s a day to go to church and celebrate.  For some of our sponsored children it was a time of joy as they received gifts paid for by generous Christmas gift donations by their sponsors.  Mattresses, blankets, school supplies and bags of rice or beans brought smiles to everyone.

Thank you, donors, for making Jesus’ birthday a special day for our children.

Child Sponsorship Story – Ange Berline, Haiti

At GGI, we are disciples of Jesus Christ and strive to share the love of God by living out our faith with those less fortunate. This story is an example of our mission in action.

Like many of the children in GGI’s program, Ange would not have the opportunity to attend school without sponsorship.  Through the sponsorship program, children like Ange receive a healthy meal, a quality education, and the opportunity daily to learn about Jesus and His love for them.

During Bible study class while the teacher was teaching, Ange accepted Jesus into her life! She is ready and excited to be baptized and make the declaration of her love for Jesus. She has been coming to church for Sunday school and her family says she is a new person.

Today, Ange dreams of becoming a “great nurse”.  It’s because of faithful sponsors like you that she now has hope, is able to dream of the possibilities for her life and came to personally know Jesus! Thank you!

Interested in helping children in need?  You can sponsor a specific child with GGI or better yet contribute to our general child fund and help us provide scholarships, meals, and assistance to all of the children in our program.

Thank you GGI sponsors and supporters. You ARE making a difference!

Those of us working and volunteering at Grace Giving International spend a lot of time in The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Although many of you may know where DRC is on the map, you may not be aware of the incredible need the people in this country have for basic staples such as food and clothing.

Getting an education is an important step in creating better lives for those less fortunate. In 3rd world countries like Uganda, school is not always easily accessible, or feasible on a daily basis. It is our mission at Grace Giving International to help as many as we can obtain the education they need to help make their futures brighter. Read to learn more.

Whether you are a first-time donor, frequent donor, or beginning to consider giving a donation to Grace Giving International, know that when you do give, your contribution goes to those struggling with extreme poverty and a myriad of unfortunate issues. At GGI, we are making great strides to help many poverty-stricken African populations. And thanks to generous donations from people like you, we can continue to make progress. Right now, over 10% of the global population (over 700 million people) do not have enough food to eat, have limited or no access to safe drinking water, and cannot financially afford to send their children to school. These populations are far more vulnerable to diseases that have already been wiped out in the developed world. Fortunately, when you give to GGI, you help to reduce poverty, help prevent diseases, and contribute to opportunities to build more schools and churches. The following provides a deeper look into how donating to GGI can make a huge difference:
