Grace Giving's mission is to change lives and provide opportunities in the name of Jesus, and that is exactly what we are doing in Haiti. We began our work in 2012 in the small southern coastal town of Jacmel.
What began with 4 children coming to "day camps" has turned into a school with grades Pre-K-8, and eventually up to 12. As a Christian school, we are teaching the Haitian children about the love of Christ, while educating them and providing them with opportunities that will change their lives!
Make a difference in the life of a child. For $30 a month, Grace Giving International will send a child in need to our school in Jacmel, Haiti. School in Haiti isn’t free – even public school, parents must pay for uniforms and books and when having to choose between feeding your family or school, often children miss out on the opportunity for education. Thus, continuing the cycle of poverty. Our school, IRJ, began with 4 children coming to "day camps" and is now a reputable, well-known K-12 school! As a Christian school, we are teaching the children about the love of Christ, while educating them and providing them with opportunities that will change their lives for generations to come!
Land has been purchased and our school is being built. Many classrooms are complete, and school is happening on campus, but we are continually building. There is a need for more classrooms, materials, computer labs and more. Donating to our school/building project allows us to continue to build and grow!
Our director in Haiti will often let us know what the most important and current need is. Sometimes it is as simple as money for gas to be able to assist students who live a great distance away in getting to and from school. It may be that a family in the school is need of something specific. Natural disaster relief. The list goes on. If you would like to donate to our current needs fund, we will ensure it is used to help our family in Haiti.
One of our favorite things to do is bless people in the community. There are many living in extreme poverty with no hope. When we can bless them with food, clean water, or any basic necessity, and do it in the name of Jesus, sharing His love, hope is found!
