THE Haiti PROJECT

Grace Giving's mission is to change lives and provide opportunities in the name of Jesus. We began our work in the city of Jacmel, Haiti knowing that the need is great.  Approximately 70% of Haitians live in poverty, that’s less than $2.00 a day.  It’s estimated that over 700,000 Haitian children are orphaned or abandoned.  And, the majority of Haitians believe in, or practice some aspect of Voodoo.  It is our goal to provide long term change by ministering to children and families in need, and providing them with hope for the future.

Our program in Haiti is going strong.  40 children are sponsored and their lives, as well as the lives of their family members, are forever changed.  Recently, a mother of one of our students described her situation as "going from hopeless to hopeful."

Sponsor a Child

Help GGI provide a child’s basic physical, educational, emotional, social and spiritual needs.  Our sponsorship program allows the children to attend school, receive one meal a day (often their only meal), and experience the friendship of God’s love.  Sponsorship also benefits the child’s family life as it reduces the financial burden on the child’s guardians and helps stabilize the family.  Education is also very important in breaking the cycle of poverty for these families.  An educated adult has a much better opportunity for finding profitable work in Haiti.Visit our Sponsor a Child page to learn more about the children who are available for sponsorship.

Provide Church Clothes for Families

After a recent trip to Haiti, our director discovered that many of our families are not coming to church because they don’t have clean, proper clothes.  You can help.  Please make a donation and specify church clothes.  We will see to it that they get what they need and can start attending church regularly to learn of Christ’s love.
